Mr. Cannistraci has been the Director of the Richland Marching Band since 2007. Prior to his appointment as Director he served as Assistant Director under Mr. Michael Bodolosky. Mr. Cannistraci holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) in Music Education ('05) and a Master of Education degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Educational Psychology ('07). In addition to the Richland Marching Band Mr. Cannistraci also serves as the Assistant Marching Band Director for the IUP Marching Band, The Legend. Part of his responsibilities as assistant director is to lead the IUP Marching Band Drum Major and Leadership Academy, a week long training camp for high school student leaders. Outside of education Mr. C serves as the director of the Johnstown Civic Concert Band, teaches private lessons, and performs solo and with the Johnstown Brassworks brass quintet.
